Out of all the essays we've read in this class so far, this was the first one I felt was really different, and had something truly unique to say. She talks about different scenarios where she found her culture being disrespected and she was unable to fight back. She also talks about the relationship between teacher and student, that the teacher needs to listen to the students voice. This is the only way they will begin to really understand.
I liked this essay. To me, one of the more interesting parts was when she shared her three "scenes". I really began to understand where her essay was going and the point she was making.
